Just wondered what would happen if you launched AoM via steam link on the tv where you have it set up.
Ah, I see. Probably nothing, since Steam Link just boots it up on the computer and then pipes it into the living room. It’s basically a second monitor. But at this point, I’ll try anything.

I was all, like, oh yeah, the lord king of South Carolina mentioned Steam Link, I guess I’ll give it a try before I reinstall Windows.
IT BOOTED RIGHT UP! I WAS SITTING IN THE LIVING ROOM FINALLY LOOKING AT AGENTS OF MAYHEM, WHICH WAS RUNNING JUST FINE AND I’M LIKE “WHAT THE SHITTING FUCK WHAT WHAT HUH?” AND AGENTS OF MAYHEM IS ALL, LIKE, “What?” LIKE IT’S NO BIG DEAL AND IT’S READY FOR ME TO PLAY IT!
So I go into the office, and sure enough, it’s running on the PC. I have no idea what kind of shitfuckery is going on here, but I intend to find out. After I play a little Agents of Mayhem.

EDIT: I changed the refresh rate ingame from 60 to 120. That seems to be the deciding factor in terms of whether it boots up. Sheesh.

If you’re anything like me, you’ll satisfy your urge to play about 30 seconds into the game after spending two solid weeks trying to get it to run because of some weird compulsion. Then you’ll close the game and feel sated.
Yeah, I think I wanted the option to play Agents of Mayhem more than to actually play it.

Tom doesn’t swear all that often, but when he does, it usually makes me laugh.
I can’t believe it was the goddamn steam link that fixed the problem. I almost chimed in saying that’s a waste of an avenue to follow, since the game runs on the PC simultaneously. The refresh rate change makes sense. I would have thought the deleted display .ini reset to default settings would have sorted that issue. Bizarre, but congrats!!
Tom, you need to change lordkosc’s nickname to MVP of 2019.
OMG first off great suggestion, second off, it happened!
Now that this is a contest, I’m gonna have to pull out all the stops for MVP 2020. Too bad this might overshadow the US Presidential election, but this is important.
