1400 year old family business out of business

The world’s oldest continuously operating family business ended its impressive run last year. Japanese temple builder Kongo Gumi, in operation under the founders’ descendants since 578, succumbed to excess debt and an unfavorable business climate in 2006.

Now there’s a family who could sneer at anyone else complaining that their parents put them under a lot of pressure to stay in the family business. It’s a shame they’ve now lost that.

As the Coal Sutra says: gone, gone beyond, gone altogether beyond. Bankruptcy, oh hell!

:( this actually makes me a bit sad.

Damn thats crazy.
