Dude, it’s a garbage trash link… just like the other one from the same blogger. It’s a bunch of trash which is either completely unsourced, or a ridiculous exaggeration or distortion of stuff that occurred. Or it’s just manufactured rage at nothing.

I mean, hell… look at it. “Need more proof??? Here’s a tweet some other blogger sent me!”

Come on… when folks (rightfully) point out that tons of crap spewed by sources like fox is partisan trash, those same folks should not look at garbage like that blog and think that it is even remotely worth reading.

I wouldn’t be surprised. I found the whole Romney donation drive exercise pretty ridiculous anyway. Most charities will tell you that they would rather have money donated or volunteer time. Canned goods incur a lot of transportation, inventory, and inspection costs that could be better spent on buying fresh or at least foods from more local sources. While I have no doubt that some of the donated stuff is making its way to people that could use a hand, the whole thing was mostly a feel-good bit of PR.

The only thing keeping my wife together at the moment is my constant reminders that Obama really just needs Ohio and he’s probably good. Here’s hoping that holds!

The problem, Timex, with all due respect, is that you’re as partisan on your side of things as I am on mine, so as quick as you are to dismiss it, I’m just as quick to accept it, which leads to all sorts of problems. :/

Kinda like what Romney is doing with his Jeep ads?

Re: donating cans of food, also, when you donate money the charity can buy in bulk and get a better deal.

Romney backpedals like hell from his previous FEMA position.

A bit more detail on the Romney event.

I don’t really think this is scandalous, but it’s another example of the campaign being completely tone deaf.

And, an other point … Did anyone bother to go to the Red Cross website to see what might be needed? It’s pretty clear they want money–not canned goods and other stuff which require resources (that they don’t have) to process. The problem is, checks don’t make for a photo op, unless you get one of those really big ones printed up (and, arguably, Romney standing with a big check of any sort is bad optics).

Though I gotta’ wonder … only $5000? Really? Romney hasn’t spent any of his own money on this campaign. You think he might have splurged this once.

Haha, I had that same thought … he’s worth millions and the best he can pony up for the voters in a blue state is $5K? He must want this election bad.

Yes, the Red Cross does not accept canned goods during a disaster like this so the “relief event” was just political theater.

The early voting numbers in FL are very encouraging, Dems are outperforming their '08 numbers. That doesn’t mean Obama will carry the state, but it looks like it will be very close.

I think Christie started his 2016 campaign with this storm, intentionally or not. He’s come off looking really good here.

We all knew this was coming. Is there any position Romney won’t back peddle on? Do we have any idea what he really believes at this point? He literally says what ever is most politically expedient at any given moment with zero regard for internal consistency.

Would you people please give Timex a chance to catch up?

I can’t debunk it, but I can say that blogs like Americablog and PoliticsUSA are very, very, very partisan. I always look for a more credible source before I accept one of their stories as truth.

Things seem to be shifting a point or two in Obama’s favor across the board in the polls. Seems like we’re at a bit of a tipping point in the now-close states like Florida and Virginia.

He pretty clearly hates gays. I’m pretty sure he won’t be changing that position.

But yeah how this isn’t obvious or why it doesn’t seem to matter is confounding. If Romney ends up winning we’re in for a new political reality. :/

BiggerBoat’s article puts a more measured spin on the whole thing, at least.

Worse, the first debate seemed to demonstrate that this is an effective campaign strategy.

But only for the Right. Kerry got killed for being perceived as a waffler.

Princeton Election just had a big bump up for Obama to +2.60% meta-margin and like 12 EVs on the strength of a batch of good new polls.
