Its actually Deval Patrick. Which just goes to show how little he is known outside Massachusetts. And I’m guessing you mean Mark Warner, right? I don’t know much about him, but he’d be as big a jump as Obama was, given his experience so far.
I’d love to see Cuomo run, but I don’t think he will. I’d also love to see Elizabeth Warren run, but I don’t think she could get nominated.
I don’t see Hillary Clinton running either.
Nice to see people already thinking about 2016 for the Democrats, though, since the Republicans clearly are.
I’d really love to see Al Franken toss his hat into the ring too. He’d make a really interesting wild card.
Oh, and people are mentioning Biden too, but that’s a complete non-starter.
I think Cory Booker would be a great candidate, but he’s gonna have to move up to something beyond mayor soon. There’s speculation that there’ll be an open Senate seat in NJ in 2014.
Hard to imagine Lautenberg–who already retired once–running again, so yeah, would love to see Booker run for that seat.
You know, I thought it was going to come down to turn out until I saw this. Now I know you guys can all stay home and/or vote for third parties:
National Dance for Obama day

Ah yes. When the polling turns against you and you can’t even buy your own bullshit about poll skews you can turn to goofy shit like this for solace.

Are you mad at rhino for the Obama dancing people? That seems weird.
Wow, ease up off the bit, Trig. It was only an attempt at a moment of levity. Don’t worry, I still think that pollsters are counting on a massive Dem turnout that isn’t going happen. One interesting theory I read earlier today: O’s campaign is effective, and they at bucking the national trend away from their candidate where they are spending resources; where they aren’t, continues to shift toward R. Hence the ties in places you wouldn’t expect to see them, like Pen, Min, etc.
I don’t know if the polling tie/advantage O has is going to carry him across the line in those states, though. Early Dem voting trends in Ohio and of all places Nevada are way off. I was fairly certain that regardless of the national tide Nevada would be going Dem but based on the early voting there, it doesn’t look anything like 2008. Maybe Harry Reid’s union machine can turn up the heat on election day.
At this point, it still does look like a turn-out race, and whether or not the later bad press from Sandy, Libya, etc. erodes Obama’s early Sandy bump. Also, the pressure is on Christie to “re-endorse” Romney, or ruining his 2016 chances with the party faithful. Based on his comments last week and his speech at the convention, he does look like he is a bit sore over not being the VP pick.
Edit: insert typical right-wing sour-grapes about if Obama was an R, there would be CBS crews filming people dumpster diving and sh*tting in hallways in NYC.

“Bad press from Sandy?” For Obama? What newspapers are you reading, the Tehran Times-Picayune?
He’s trolling. Just let it be.
This. Rooting for the continuance of human misery for help at the polls. (And of course the defense–“We’re not cheering for it, we’re appalled by stuff–stuff that isn’t nearly an accurate depiction of what’s happening–and wanted to point it out…Yes. Just pointing things out. That’s what it is!”)
Yes, that’s it; just trolololololing, nothing to see here! Whether it has any impact or not politically remains to be seen.
This is just off-the-deep-end stupid. Why would you even say anything this ignorant? Having been through a number of hurricanes personally, I wouldn’t wish anything on anyone related to them for any effect, at the ballot box or anywhere. Here is to hoping you return to making full, deep breathes as soon after the 6th as possible.
I don’t care about Sandy. I was responding to your assertion that MI and PA are tied, which is ridiculous enough that I assumed you must be trolling or are the only adult in North America not working for the Romney campaign who believes that.

Dude, you’re a conservative. That means you’re stupid, you are easy prey to ads touting miracle cures for cancer, you hate everyone but rich people, and you want poor people to die.
Duh.
This is gross. I can’t wait for Wednesday.
I’m pretty sure that JeffL was being facetious, Malcolm, although I share your wish that it would be over already.
Early voting data:
Ralston, most accurate pollster in NV predicts PBO win by 4.
There is no indication that Rhino’s talking points are accurate. Two more days and we’ll find out.
To Benny: I typo’d Deval’s name but thanks for pointing that out :)
If Hillary runs (and there’s no guarantee she will) I’m betting no one will run against her.
Edit: And for the record, what’s happening in OH and FL should be criminal. What functioning democracy acts this way? It’s shameful.
I know JeffL was being facetious. I agree with him. This is getting a little too purity-based.

Thanks, Papa - I was indeed, especially since I’m one of the more conservative posters here. ;)
