You can’t really blame OFA for not focusing on men much. White (which I assume you all are) men go overwhelmingly for Romney. Like 65-30.

So the Washington Redskins lost yesterday. In games played before elections if the Redskins win the incumbent has been elected the last eight times. In games the Redskins lose the challenger has won eight of the last nine.
That means Romney is the winner. Case closed.

One wonders if the fatcat owners of the NFL designed the schedule to ensure Romney’s victory!
It appears that the matchup between LSU and Alabama doesn’t only determine who wins the SEC West but also who becomes the leader of the free world.
Since 1984, the winner of this game during election years has directly correlated with the party affiliation of the winner of the presidential election, with LSU connected to the GOP and Alabama connected to the Democratic party.
Bama won btw.
That reminds me of a funny story. Back when ordering things online with a credit card was still not widespread (about 20 years ago), I often ordered computer games and such by phone from mail order catalogues. One time I was on the phone with an operator (a woman) and it came time to provide the credit card number, so I say, “ok, let me whip it out” meaning my wallet of course, but my younger brother was in the room and immediately looks over at me and starts to snicker, which makes me realize my choice of words and I nearly lose it, which the operator too notices. It was all I could do not to bust out laughing, which I did immediately after hanging up the phone.
I find that very strange. Are there any figures on the socio-economic and education levels of the white men polled and how they line up?
I have this feeling that after the election the next 4 years will look very much like the last 4 years. If Obama wins, the change over in congress won’t be significant enough to break the stalemate in Washington. If Romney wins, The Senate will fight tooth and nail to prevent anything going forward. Wish the parties were closer.
Since the Redskins were playing the Panthers, you’d think it was the other way 'round.
Alabama beat LSU on Saturday. Since 1984, if LSU wins that game, the GOP wins the White House. If the Crimson Tide win, a Democrat wins the election.
Good editorial by EJ Dionne: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2012/11/05/the_gilded_age_vs_the_21st_century_116041.html
Salient quote:
“Just as there was in Teddy Roosevelt’s time,” Obama declared, “there is a certain crowd in Washington who, for the last few decades, have said, let’s respond to this economic challenge with the same old tune. ‘The market will take care of everything,’ they tell us. If we just cut more regulations and cut more taxes – especially for the wealthy – our economy will grow stronger. … even if prosperity doesn’t trickle down, well, that’s the price of liberty. Now, it’s a simple theory. … But here’s the problem: It doesn’t work. It has never worked.”
In Mitt Romney, Obama was blessed with an opponent who embraced that theory, not only in his move far to the right to secure the Republican nomination but also in his own career as a private equity capitalist. Romney may have flipped and flopped and flipped again on issues he didn’t care about, but his view of American capitalism and American government never wavered. If Teddy Roosevelt fought against the policies of the Gilded Age, Obama is fighting a Republican Party determined to bring the Gilded Age back and undo the achievements of a century.
He really needs a good beating.
I’d like a good beating from Mika Brzezinski…
Wait, did I say that out loud?
Oh, goody:
On the plus side, they’re creating temporary employment, I guess. :-/

See, this is the kind of garbage I hate.
When you resort to just trying to shout down your opposition, or talk over them, or try in any way to prevent what they are saying, then it means your argument is weak.
There’s a sudden rush on Intrade. Obama to win was holding at around 65% for several days. In the last half hour or so it’s headed north of 70%.
Guessing someone just made a huge bulk buy, and that the market will self-correct back to the 67-33 it’s been hovering around for a while.
It’s more complicated than that.
The MSNBC election night briefing book is pretty good. The most interesting fatal scenario is if Romney loses Florida; it’s virtually impossible for him at that point.
Some of Cook’s race evaluations are ludicrous, though. McMahon vs. Murphy is Connecticut is a toss-up? Whatever.
