Morrowind?

Call Of Duty 4?

BINGO! As I said, the screenshots contained more hints than you might realize. Mainly the aspect ratio and the black bars.

Oh, and sorry about the somewhat low quality of the image. I pulled it from one of the videos from my Let’s Play of it from a few years ago. The video compression combined with jpeg compression made it a bit uglier than it normally would have been.

I find it ironic the only thing I remember of a game based on sounds is the eerie atmosphere of the pre-rendered house graphics. Must be very evocative though, because name just popped up at once!

Here goes:

Dungeon of the Endless

Paradroid on the Commodore 64?

Uplink?

Prison Architect?

None of those.

Here is an unhelpful update:

Factorio

Nope, and sneaking in quickly another one before the export!

Shenmue?

Shenmue is the only Dreamcast game I know that involves humans, and the pixelation there looks Dreamcasty.

I’ll say the game and hardware is a generation older (which speaks a lot for the PowerVR goodness found in the innards of the DC).

Uh, then that PS1 bot programing game… Carnage Heart?

Ah oops, maybe I meant ‘younger’. Relativity, all that, not a familiar concept.
The picture is actually from Carnage Heart Exa, the wonderful PSP version.

Congrats!

Cool. I never played (or even knew about) that flavor. I’ll get the next one up after the move.

And here it is:

Broforce?

It’s almost as if there was no posts in the interim…

Oil Imperium?
