My reason for seeing so many posts is that I only figured out Discourse’s browsing features late in the year. Before that, I was also a “find a thread, scroll through to the end to see the latest post” kind of person.
Knowing these are metrics naturally makes me want to pump my numbers up!
I was one of the 92 to visit every day! Does that come with a prize or something?
If there were a stat for having a tab sit idle, waiting on me to read more, only to be taken all the way to the bottom much later when I realize I will never catch up … I’d be top 10, easily. Hah!
There are topics here that the best technique is to just jump in at the most recent discussion, because they are so active you won’t keep up. Strangely, those topics also suffer from the most callbacks by others saying things like, “it was mentioned earlier,” or, “if you read what I posted,” etc.
Consider the default of: No, we did not read that. It was 100 posts back. Not all of us are at the level of LockerK or JAH.
