Ha! Although I bet he wins anyway, if it was that safe a seat.

I used to live in his district. How the hell that is a "safe’ Republican district I have no idea. There must be an awful lot of racist white people in the rural bits outweighing the normal people in the nicer bits I guess.

Because where I lived (the golf course community in Mt Woodson) it was wall to wall Democrats.

Polling still seems pretty consistent with Cruz up by 6-7 points.

I just saw this and I hope Beto gets some more momentum:

Awesome orator there.

Sad that he’ll lose to a person who’s voice is one of the most annoying on Earth, and that’s before you get to the content of his words.

He’s great. The more people who get to hear him prior to election, the better.

This just reminded me how much I desperately miss a leader who is articulate and has a thought-out, sensible position on a topic.

You can disagree with his position, but he makes his case and I think you can understand where he’s coming from on it. More of that, please.

You mean this isn’t the kind of reasoned political discourse you want?

Seriously.

Save me Obi Wan Beto, you’re my only hope.

More awesome from Beto:

If he doesn’t win this time, he’s going to eventually.

Holy shit, Beto skates.

I’m sending that guy some money.

Pfft, conservatives won’t vote for a Beto male.

It is funny that Ted Cruz is viewed as the ultimate cuck in r/thedonald land.

Huh. Within the MOE.

Also a punk rock bassist.

Negative monies!

I keed, more people like Beto. He’s the kind of young blood the party could use more of.

Holy cats.

The only thing more remarkable than O’Rourke’s impressive ascent is Cruz’s arc.

From up-and-coming newcomer to presidential contender to being over the hill and loathed by both parties - all in a single six-year term!

In the interest of keeping it real, the Beto poll was one of three big polls that came out on the senate today, and it was the only good one for Democrats.

In NJ, Menendez (who really should’ve been primaried) is only up 7, and looks vulnerable.

And I don’t think anyone knows what to make of the Marquette Law poll showing Baldwin up by just 2 over Vukmir (LV) and 8 (RV), with Republican enthusiasm at 69% and Democratic enthusiasm at 67. That’s either an outlier, or the harbinger that the contentious GOP senate primary got folks fired up.
