There is a sentence in that article that kind of dumbfounded me:
“His brother Pete Gosar reportedly ran for governor in that state as a Democrat in 2014.”
Reportedly? Is that really something the writer couldn’t validate?

First Beto/Cruz debate was today. Cruz lied a lot, and Beto took the high ground a lot. Who won will depend on who you liked going into it, I think.
Only reaction I’ve found online so far, but it seems pretty accurate.
And this was parked outside the auditorium, and has been making the rounds in Texas:

To any rational mind, Beto is destroying Cruz in the debate so far (about 15 min in). Cruz is absolutely disgusting with the lies and repeated attempts to just talk about cops being shot to play to the Trump base.
Cruz just blamed gun violence on the absence of God in people’s lives. What. The. Fuck. What a piece of shit.

This is what I think of when I see member of the GOP in debates.

I hope he didn’t spend a bunch of money on political consultant to figure out that would be an effective ad.
Sounds like a plus to his voters.
Cruz is “working for the clampdown” Beto O’Rourke makes apparent Clash reference during Cruz debate
My thoughts on the debate, which took place in the auditorium where I received my masters degree and still live a mile away from, as the crowd cheered wildly whenever Cruz veered off topic to lie and unctuously pander to the gun-totin’, marijuana-hatin’, police-lovin’ redneck crowd - the tuition over there obviously isn’t going towards education.

I guess Republican comparing their family to Stalin shouldn’t surprise me.
As far as I know, Siena/NYT-Upshot are the first ones to do a deep poll of the Kansas 3rd CD – which is Overland Park and Johnson County, affluent western KCK suburbs.
And it’s…not good news for the GOP.
Remember how Andrew Gillum had coattails in Florida that were helping Bill Nelson there? In Kansas, it appears that Chris “Voter Disenfranchisement” Kobach is having the opposite effect. He’s the Republican nominee for governor, and popular former Republicans in the state (including former senator Nancy Kassebaum) have endorsed his Democratic opponent. Kobach appears to have reverse coattails.
And so in a district that looked like a tossup for the incumbent, Kevin Yoder, Sharice Davids – the Democratic challenger is currently up 7 points as polling continues there.

I am so excited about the Gillum/Nelson synergy. I feel like my vote really counts now.
Wonder what’s been going on in the news in the last 10 days or so?

That is what I did in 2004. It is getting harder to give votes to any Republicans though.
Is this wise? Hillary did a similar move in 2016 and we all know how that ended.
I’m pretty sure that myth has been thoroughly debunked.
