Since we’ve got a lot of Gopher Staters on this forum, I think:

Like 3 but OK fair enough, I complain a lot.

TBF, it’s not our fault your states are all so inferior.

(also “gopher state” is not a thing. We didnt hang “show-me state” on you; don’t put that evil on us)

Agate Staters? Land of 1,000 Lakes Staters?

I kiiiiiiiiiid…

Especially since the GOP line is currently: “They’re not even Americans, what have they ever done for us anyway?”

Politico: “Oh, the polls show Nelson is leading? Well, let’s find a demographic he doesn’t lead and report on that! This week Cubans. Next week, we’ll go with old farts.”

I guess if convinces a few Democrats to get off the goddamn couch and go vote, I’m fine with it.

In NC-13. I don’t have a ton of faith Manning can pull it off, but this whole Kavanaugh thing might put her over. It feels like a toss-up race right now though.

Why edit the name out? It’s on Twitter.

You’re right, but it was like that when I found it.

Marc Caputo all but acted like a paid operative for Rubio during the primaries, so yes that needs to be taken into account when reading this piece. But, that said, polling in CA, TX and FL does seem to indicate a distinct lack of enthusiasm amongst Hispanic voters (and not just Cuban-Americans.) There’s a pool of non-voters (AA males, millennials, Hispanics) that need to turn out in numbers in order to overcome gerrymandering and so far that looks like it might be a problem with Hispanic voters.

People who aren’t going to go to the polls have no impact on likely-voter polling. The polls could be wrong about who is likely to vote, but this is an article which shows the polls ostensibly correctly recognizing who is likely to vote and taking it into account in their model. If someone is going to win by 8% among likely voters, then people who aren’t likely voters have already been taken out of that result.

It’s not hard to find the original

Damn, homie.

Oh, and apparently here’s why Sutton is leading in that race right now:

Per Dave Wasserman, in South Dakota, rodeo=religion.

Wow, that is an amazing ad. Well produced, well targeted to it’s demographic, and yet totally broad enough that everyone gets the message, and the feels. That is campaign money very well spent.

Wow, you can say that again. Just perfect.

Maybe I missed it somehow but I couldn’t find the word Democrat anywhere on his website. It does mention his running mate is a long-term Republican though. I assume that’s a very deliberate choice in SD.
