I still remember that NY Times article, published right before the election, that showed the actual margin of error of polls in the the 21st century was closer roughly twice of what the predicted margin of error was 7-8% than 3-4% that sampling size estimated.

I’m pretty sure the tons of liberals responding to Harris aren’t lying. Or if they are it’s some sort of insane Deep State operation because they’ve been sleeper agents for years apparently. And they’re blowing their cover for something most people will never know about.
These responses get a chuckle from me though.
Perhaps some do struggle with the idea that “evenly” means “half”, true.
They aren’t liars, but they are illiterate. Right under the Abrams picture, the only all-caps boldface on the page is there to tell you that your donation is partly going to Harris.
Whether that line is obvious enough or not, it’s still scummy to use a call to action for helping someone else to attempt to direct money to her own efforts.
And… the reason she should get half is what exactly?
“Help donate to Bob, also I’m taking half the donation. Bob has his own page for this, but I’m more well known and get to pocket a bunch of money.”
Nothing about that isn’t shady as fuck.
Is it shady when Humble Bundle takes a portion of the money you send to developers and/or charities?
Is it shady when the money you donate to fight cancer partly ends up in the pockets of nonprofit chief executives?
Harris is a politician. Her job, in large part, is to raise funds for her reelection campaign. That’s the sad truth. And it’s awfully naive to think that she is helping out another politician purely out of the goodness of her heart.
If you don’t want to send Humble Bundle any money, feel free to zero them out of your contribution. Same goes for Harris.
I agree that Harris’s approach is yucky. All I wanted to point out is that the second tweet in that series of tweets is wrong.
