Not that long.
The audience those attacks appeal to… Are gonna be dead in 20 years, tops.
Then so will the GOP in its current incarnation. But I’ve heard about the demographic-destruction thing before, and it never quite seems to pan out, so I’m not going to be optimistic.
Old white racist mofos have been a part of America since before 1776 and reports of their death may yet be exaggerated.
It’s also not just about her race but about demonizing socialism, which is another very reliable political tactic.

The guys with their Lowes tiki torches were not all over 60. There are plenty of young ones running around ready to carry on. I don’t believe the myth that racism will just die out. It has to be battled and battled hard and constantly.
I doubt that anyone thinks racism will die out. That will always be with us. But those boys with tiki torches are a vanishingly small percentage of the voting population.

Vanishing, some of those kids got kicked out of school; some of them are not even 30 yet. That’s a new round, a new breed racists, born and raised supposedly in an era where we know better and they’re still doing it. Trump supports are not all old white men. He’s got what half of white women and then there are the ones coming up behind them. They’re not going to die off.

My local conservative radio talk guy spends a few hours every week on AOC. She seems to hit some hot button for them.

Why are all racists “old white” guys? :)

You tell us, @Scuzz. You’re our man on the inside!
I am so old and white I thought this meant age of consent.
But primarily it’s about misogyny, not racism or socialism. Remember, Hillary and Pelosi are the relevant protypes here.
You’ll hate this response but here goes: Give some relevant examples from history of that sort of ‘governing’. Alternatively, describe what one should do as a Dem in the House to ‘govern’ in that manner.

Yeah, there’s a whole new crop of them growing up in rural america. The senate will be a problem for the rest of our lives.

I think those neo-nazi assholes are troubling, but they are by no means any significant portion of the voting bloc.
The 18-29 vote is nearly 70% democrat.
While the neo-nazis you mention are awful, they aren’t showing up at the polls.
My age range isn’t doing so bad either. Go people under 44!
Hey, I still (barely) fit in that group!
The wide differences in those age ranges sure plays up the importance of turnout, doesn’t it? What a landslide we’d see if all the young folks actually made it to the polls.

Could this be the hope thread?
As others have pointed out, this doesn’t necessarily help in the Senate, or in presidential elections. But it could be quite possible that the house of representatives becomes harder and harder for the GOP to ever capture again.

Eh, i don’t think there is.
These groups of Nazis are generally only able to get a rally together with a few dozen people, tops, and they are met with an order of magnitude more counter protestors.
Hell, in Philly, the cabbies wouldn’t even give them rides.
That’s what needs to happen. Just totally shunning by society. Push them back down into the gutter where they belong.

They aren’t Nazis, just low education, racist, rural folks who want to keep the dems from taking their guns, believe what they think is christianity, and they’d really like to win the lottery. I work there. I listen to them every day. Obama wasn’t wrong about clinging to guns and god. They are already voting GOP and aren’t going to change. But they aren’t Nazis. At least not publicly.
