I always knew the robot uprising would start in Japan. All that AI they put into their super secret actually-real Mecha suits are going to come alive and start killing us all.

I can’t help but say if it’s Wadjeteye published, it must be quite recent, as even a few years back their games weren’t able to display as such hi-res as 1280x800.
Could easily be something older. 1280x800 is a perfect 4x scale of 320x200. So could be an early 90s DOS game being scaled up in DOSBox.
