It’s a twin stick shooter/geometry wars-like where you play as an AI. That screenshot is a stealth level, with everything charging you whenever you fire. Really enjoyed it.

It looked like something I played, so I scanned my library. When I got to The Tachyon Project I thought that was a likely candidate and looked at a screenshot of it and confirmed it was it. Is that cheating, or since I had a feeling it was it is it OK? Don’t wanna cheat!

Edit PS yeah you totally cheated ;) I’ve done that kind of thing before and I usually let it go a round or two more before chipping in with the correct answer as a way to pay penance and allow the other cheaters out there to get in first.
Seriously, the amount of effort needed to scan one’s Steam backlog library is staggering. We should hand physical prizes for that.
I’ll let you have it this time, but only because it turns out you’re the only person on my Steam list who actually played the game haha. None of the other dozen Qt3rs who bought it started the game. Which is actually a little weird because this wasn’t in any humble bundles.

I shoulda just guessed after scanning the names and went to the next one if I was wrong. It’s been so long since I thought I’d even played one that someone posted! Usually its some game programmed by punch cards and played by printing stuff out on a dot matrix printer :-)
