The frame is rendered less mysterious.

Worms Armageddon?

Toonstruck?

Borderlands 2?

And thus, the thread mysteriously died.

Sorry, my daughter absconded with the laptop the Photoshop file is on. I should have it back this afternoon.

Ack , I somehow forgot about this thread for like a week.

Steamworld Dig?

The mysterious frame may or may not have lost all its mystery with this one.

Ah I know it, that game with the planes that went free, Altitude, isn’t it?

Yes! Here’s the full screenshot. It started as a request on an old Starcraft forum I frequented from one member to another to recreate biplanes mode in Combat as a Java browser game, and slowly became a real commercial game several years later. I was curious if anyone here had played. Also, it used to cost $20 but needed to go free to maintain server population after a couple years on Steam. :(

It was my 4th purchase on Steam, when I created my first true account there in 2011.
I loved that little game very much.
I’ll have another mysterious frame ready within 24 hours.
(My first purchase was Atom Zombie Smasher it turns out. I was already indie to the bone!).

Were you one of the French players on that really good league team, by chance? :) Led by “Tyr” or something like that? I was on Lobstars for awhile.

Oh no, I was a casual, but I loved that you could play with randos and still have fun, which is a basic feat that a lot of multiplayer games seem to lack!
I have never gotten deep into an MP game apart from the first Unreal Tournament. Altitude was way too fast paced for me to be competitive anyway!

Agreed; it got so many design elements right in the multiplayer. Had several pro/former pro SC players giving input, which is why it’s so fast. I’d like to see a spiritual successor come out sometime.

Hah, now I recognize it! I did play Altitude and had some fun with it. But it’s been a long while since. ;)

Some grandpa Olympics game? ;)

Super Tennis

Microprose Football?
