This looks like the type of game I would’ve bought, but I’ve never played it.

I don’t know how there’s a pixel-art platformer I’m not familiar with, but clearly there is. The character design suggests it might be a JRPG-inspired game, so maybe that’s why I missed out on whatever this is?
OH WAIT. Is this that new Monster Sanctuary game that’s like a platformer plus Pokemon? That would explain the pteradactyl buddy!

Game looks really intriguing. I wonder why nobody thought of a metroidvania with RPG battles. Maybe it sucks! I’ll try it some day.
