Though I suppose my guess should be other game in the same series. But I said Command & Conquer, so I guess I’ll have to wait another frame for a different guess. ;)

Have you been in the game music thunderdome thread lately? Because they song gets stuck in my head every time it comes up for vote! :D

I haven’t, but I have that song stuck in my mind since 1995, so there’s that. ;)

frame 3

I thought this last one was too generous, so have a bit of nothing this time.

frame 4

Red Alert! (I know it’s not, but whatever)

Star Control 3?

Some FMV from Alpha Centauri?

It’s a DOS game though.

One of the planet screens from Privateer?

Everybody got very intriguing guesses (excepting Rhamorim of course, who obviously thinks
this is a nice pick).

frame 5

I’m pretty sure I played that, I just don’t remember what it is. ;)

Anyway, nice pick!

You got it!

frame 6

what was that early helicopter game? Commanche?

I remember it now! One of my favorite DOS games of all time. The absolutely amazing Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri.

Oh man that game was great. I think it had accumulating snow on one level, it modeled ballistics for the long range grenades, and it let you approach each mission how you wanted.

It was like mech suit Ghost Recon before there was a Ghost Recon.

Absolutely. Discovered it last week, as someone recommended it in games nobody liked on Steam. Grabbed it straight away from GOG. It’s really an intuitive and fun game.

Terranova

That was a really fun side thinking!

Yeah, as a game, it was doing things even games nowadays with x100 the budget won’t try to do. It’s amazing what they achieved with so many technical and budgetary limitations. Truly a great game I’m honestly afraid to replay, because my memories of it are so great that I fear this aged, already-used-to-recent-QOL-advances-in-gaming self won’t be able to appreciate it as much as I did back then. But I loved it. Truly. 心から、本当に.

Ohh, I think I just bought that in a sale.

Here we go.
