Hah! I was thinking of Heaven’s Vault when he revealed the 2D billboard lady, too. Couldn’t remember the name for the life of me. Thank you for the title. I’ve thought about that game a few times over the last few months and been wanting to finally play it. I watched a several-hours stream of it when it first got released and promptly bought it, but then forgot all about it until somewhat recently. The name has escaped me for quite some time.
It is indeed Heaven’s Vault. I never would have taken Vinraith for an Inkle guy: take that, prejudices!
I didn’t even know this game existed, until triggercut spoke about it on the Overboard (see, see how clever that pick was?!) thread. I got a superb first impression, really looking forward to diving into it.

Nice pick! That one is sitting on my backlog for now. But I’ll definitely get to it eventually.
I like a good language puzzle. I’m not normally big on narrative-heavy adventure games these days but the premise here was too intriguing to pass on. I need to find some time to dig into it more.

I would have got there eventually after going through my massive backlog of city builder\colony management games, haha. Recognised the revealed UI elements but just couldn’t put a name to them.
I knew it wasn’t Anno 2205 but I hadn’t thought of Aven Colony, so I just guessed for the sake of it. ;)
