Ranked Choice Voting in its debut in Alaska will decide a US Senate race. And in ME it will decide the ME-02 race. I was skeptical of this reform initially but I think this structural reform eliminates the threat of third party candidates denying Democrats getting to 50% +1

Seriously, some of you guys seem 100% positive DeSantis has no chance at a national race.

I don’t agree.

I’ve seen people like David French all but fawn over the dude. A shitload of this country is David Frenches.
They’re just looking for an excuse to vote Republican and a lot of them only don’t like Trump because he’s vulgar. They’re fine with literally all the rest of it, but it’s the uncouthness of how he does it.

Thankfully my mother, who would normally be among those people, hates DeSantis with a fiery passion because of COVID, Disney and basically everything else he’s done in Florida, so I don’t have to deal with that. But most Republicans are fine with Central Planning DeSantis declaring that the First Amendment doesn’t apply to anyone who disagrees with him and the government should and will punish dissidents.

DeSantis is many ways is much scarier than Trump because his beliefs are basically the same but he’s less of an idiot and presents those ideas in a nicer package that people can pretend isn’t abhorrent.
