The results so far seem to be completely unanalysable. Dems leading with crazy numbers in some state-wide races with not much counted, GOP doing extremely well in others.
Sadly, there is only one solution, and few people have time for it.
I’m not sure there has been a surprise called race yet.
Condolences, Scott, that your state immediately was called for DeSantis.
I confess I’m shocked every time Republican voters demonstrate that they like and approve of base cruelty. I’m not sure I’ll ever internalize it.
Obviously you need to learn to fuck your feelings.
Oh, well. It was nice being associated with an internationally respected university health system while it lasted.
Republicans have now picked up 3 of the 5 seats they need to take the House thanks to DeathSantis’ redrawn districts designed to favor Republicans.

NYT has started their needle, so you can update your anxiety on a second-by-second basis:
People still seem to think the Dems have a decent chance to keep the senate, which would be consolation for the terrible house results that are shaping up.
Woo, we have the woman to be governor in MA! Also, the nation’s first openly lesbian governor. We also have a super-trumpy election denier running in opposition who’s going to be a cranky PITA and not accept the results (hopefully this changes as more authorities call the race, but it’s fucking MA, and we hate trump here.)
The needle keeps pointing at my bottle of whiskey.
My kids and I had a brief encounter with Charlie Baker at the National Cemetery on Saturday. He was a decent guy.
Ofc I voted Dem down the ballot today, because republicans other than Baker are pure evil.

Is Luria dead in VA-2? She’s down 56-44 with 68% reporting. That seems like a lot to make up, but I don’t know how they count votes in Virginia.
Baker was competent and typical of a new england old school republican - far closer to a moderate democrat than anything else. Certainly not a republican by what the party now represents. No wonder he didn’t want to run again.

Buckle up, its going to be a rough night.
Every Republican is a fascist at this point. Don’t like it? Then don’t call yourself a Republican.

They count early and absentee ballots later than in some states but that is a significant deficit

NY Times is estimating the majority of remaining votes are Democratic - so the count is going to shift back in Luria’s direction. If it will be enough is an open question.
My drinking has started! Bring on the GOP wins America! I will be drunk by 8.

Dems might see a pick up in Ohio CD - 01. Steve Chabot is in a new district and is in early trouble

Dems doing well in most places. Utter wipeout in Florida but otherwise dems slightly ahead of expectation. RI house race very close but rest of nation doesn’t look like red tsunami
