I haven’t listened yet, but is Star Wars ruled out? If not, then the medal ceremony is one of the great finishes in cinematic history.

…and I may get written up for this one, but the standing ovation during the talent show in Napoleon Dynamite counts for me.

Are graduation cerimonies award cerimonies? And if they are, would you accept graduation cerimonies that serve as backdrop to a major part in the movie? Like in Scent of a Woman or In & Out?

I chose to avoid them, because I think that could be a different topic. And after doing a couple hundred of these, I’m always on the lookout for how to split out a topic.

That said, the one who created it did not specify when he introduced the topic last week. So it’s not for me to say.

I don’t know that it was ruled out, as @Kelly_Wand doesn’t ever really take things off the table, but it was the example he gave when he introduced the topic. So that’s why we didn’t have it in our picks.

Ok, so the only one that comes to mind that hasn’t been mentioned yet is at the end of Miss Congeniality. :)

He may have been a bad wizard, but he knew how to hand out awards:

“How can I ever thank you enough?”
“Well, you can’t.”

I know it’s not a movie and therefore completely off topic but this one shall always be my supermost favorite!

If a prom is an award ceremony I’m surprised @Kelly_Wand didn’t go with the ace up his sleeve–or is it the instruction card up his sleeve?–Zapped!

Fletch salutes Fred “The Dorf” Dorfman.

Holy crap. I cannot believe I totally forgot this.

Great pick.
