In a year without Demon’s Soul, Dragon Age would be my pick. Yet this is a serious RPG the likes of which have been unseen for decades before and will probably remain unseen for the years ahead.

As little as I played Demon’s Souls, I appreciated what it was, and if it were a different time in my life I likely would’ve played the living shit out of it. I don’t agree with all their decisions and I personally would have made the game a tad more accessible, but I still appreciate that there are companies out there willing to say fuck it, we’re going to make something hardcore, and to hell with the market.

I’m not voting on this because I think Batman deserves to win as much as AC2 does.
