Voted for the two games I actually managed to get around to playing. Also I think its quite funny that we have 2 genres competing against each other now, and that it happened completely by accident.

They also seem to be among the most popular genres at the moment, other than the conspicuous absence of shooters, and of course Nintendo stuff.

Batman vs. Ezio was a tough choice for me. Both games employ a similar combat mechanic, and both are excellently realized worlds. I enjoyed the hell out of B:AA, and am currently about 1/4 of the way through AC2, but AC2 gets the nod. Extra side missions and an engaging story give it the tip.

I’m not sure if AC2 will eventually win out over DA:O, but it’s the right match up for the 2009 final vote.
