A good week for new games

I am having some time off work this coming week and today picked up GalCiv and Rise Of Nations. I think it is going to be a VERY good week …

My wife finally let me get a GBA SP. Its going to be an Advaced Wars weekend for this lazy bastard. :) If only the GBA had some good flight sims.

Try WC-prophecy or even good ol’ wings.

Games you can maybe sneak in the house…a handheld game machine, nuh-uh.

Aint part of the reason a handheld is so small that you can conceal it from pretty much anyone. Play it on the toilet with headphones and she’d never know. :)

If she’s clueless when it comes to games you could also try convincing her it’s an old machine you found in the basement/at a garage sale for $0.50. Game Boy graphics are crappy enough that she might buy it if she’s used to the look of your PC games.

Man oh man, are you guys just exaggerating the marriage horror stories here? It can’t be that bad. Where are your cojones?

My wife is the greatest. Its more of a financial thing. I bitch at her for spending too much at Bath and Body Works and she bitches at me about gaming. We have a house that needs repairs and A GBA will not plug a leaky roof for long.

I ended up getting an EB gift certificate to go along with my GBA SP for Father’s Day/Anniversary. Normally, I would have received a more practical gift…Home Depot gift certificate.
