A majority of pen & paper nerds nerd out with Dungeons & Dragons

I’m wondering if a gamebook is a way forward for her to learn the basics of D&D. Do folks have recommendations in that direction? This looks like it might be promising, though she would want to play a female so don’t know if this product precludes that.

@ArmandoPenblade thanks for the link. I was wanting something more along the lines of generating as you go, rather than generating the whole thing up front. For solo play anyway. Maybe it’s there and I just missed it too. It sure seems super complete!

@orald That books seems fine and gets good reviews and there appear to be other solo adventures too.

But on that page I also saw what seems to be exactly what I’m looking for! A more built out solo randomizer thingy than what was in the 1st edition DM guide.

Solo Adventurers Toolbox looks to be kind of amazing if it’s what I think it is.
