The latest is just great:

I like it for the ending, among other things.

Which other things?

Let’s see:

“It begins, “fools””,
“your behavior in the court of Quorn Faelass last Tuesday was insufferable”
“If you are unwilling or unable to take the world of Golud-ha seriously, then you shall sip its summerwine no more!”
“As the Godwrights…”
“Translating from the celestial tongue can be difficult, and some of the subtleties are lost.”

I just rewrote a good deal of the comic text, which is why I avoided spelling it out originally.

Don’t forget ‘TERRIBLE FRUITION!!!’

yes, for me it’s the ‘!!!’

This is the best line for me. I’ve played with DMs who take their ridiculous fantasy world way too seriously too, so it’s funny because it’s true.

This is my favorite line too. But I like it because of the summerwine. I love the idea that sipping imaginary wine was some sort of amazing privilege that his players would miss for years to come.

2nd great strip in a row, haven’t seen penny arcade on a roll like this for awhile:

I like it because the lawyer refuses to let anyone see his eyes (perhaps they glow red?).

I could be misreading your post but that’s a metaphor - Tycho is comparing his D&D campaign to a summer wine, he’s not saying that the players can no longer drink an imaginary wine that was part of his fiction.

Except for self-serious DM’s, what should be a metaphor (summer wine) is made literal in the name of Fantasy (summerwine).

Apparently this one went just viral enough that a well-meaning friend sent it to me and my dad later complained about it.

Though I actually prefer today’s delving into the heady world of P&R.

It’s an old man thing.

Even when the guy is only half way greyed? Looks like a middle aged man to me.

To be honest, yesterday’s comic pretty much wrote itself:

Still great though. What I like about it: The ümlaüt.

The quotes in the news post are gold, too.

of course drinks have been snackified for years in the form of colas in fruit juices and OH YEAH punch

The conclusion.

It’s ground that Futurama tread years ago, but I still like it.

SLORM

SLURM. Get your coat and GET OUT!

Penny Arcade called it Slorm.

I wonder if they realize how much of a blatant futurama ripoff this comic was? They must.

The Futurama is now, I suppose.

I never saw any Futurama so I would have totally missed the reference, but I can certainly say that the 1% chance I would ever have tried Tropolis has now become negative 1,000,000%.

“Snackularity” is awesome.
