…just installed it, but when I go to set the res. to something other than 640x480 at 16-bit color, it crashes to desktop. AMD single-core Athlon 64 3500+ processor, GeForce 7800GT, WinXP SP 2 with all the updates, recent video card drivers, yadda yadda yadda. Any ideas? Maybe it doesn’t like my LCD monitor (Syncmaster 930A 19 in.)? 640x480 is painful. Anyway, no biggie, I’ve got in for the PS2 as well if I really must play it, but still–mods and such, you know.
Try Win98 compatibility mode.
I bet PS2 compatibility mode would work better.
No idea. It’s working for me at 1024x768, 32 colors. Occasionally it won’t detect mouse clicks, but other than that, no issues. And I have a fairly similar hardware setup. (If anything, a bit less likely to be compatible, since I’m running SLI.)
