Adventure Capitalist

Very good book - author, I think is Jim Rodgers.

Basically, it’s the story of a retired-young wall-street analyst who drives around the world with his wife, on a REALLY long and exotic trip. 3 years, umpteen thousand miles on every continent, including through war zones and nasty countries like Nigeria, Burma, etc. 70% travelogue, 30% analysis of why certain countries are poor and certain are wealthy, which ones are on the rise and fall, and why.

If you like international affairs, economics, and/or stories of bribing border guards and getting caught at the Saudi Arabian border with a bottle of whiskey, this one’s for you.
