:P apparently it works very well on console.
The discord is freaking out over the cat animal people.
Want to know more about these āanimal peopleā? You can read all about the Therians in our latest Dev Dairy. (Which is a day later due to Forum Upgrades, so be prepared when clicking the link).
Lore:
Born from tragic experiments to save a dying scientistās wife from a ravaging genetic disease, the Therian Project was meant to fuse stable animal DNA with humans that were afflicted with incurable diseases.
Like all research that could āenhanceā humans, it didnāt take long for Terratech to get their hands on this new technology, altering and transforming those who could pay, no cost too great in attempts to perfect this new process. Societyās outcasts were the first to suffer at the hands of these experiments, eventually forming a cult-like status after their transformations proved too radical to continue as part of normal society.
Led by the mysterious and enigmatic leader Deer, the Therians took what Terratech they could get their paws on and scattered throughout the fragmenting Star Union to find a place they could call home.

I think in the lore you should have said, " ā¦no cost too great in attempts to purrrrrfect this new process."

Easily defeated if you just put some cardboard boxes in their vicinity.

Iām having a bit of a rough start with my Celestian Kir`ko run. I goofed and accidentally doubled down on melee units early and keep being eaten by (marauder) range units with super crowd control abilities. Iām also playing on a Ruins world and am surrounded on all sides by mountains and volcanic, making expansion and sector-grabbing quite difficult.
I havenāt wanted to throw in the towel, so Iām curious to see if I can catch back up with the other players and pull some sort of victory out of my butt. I was originally thinking of trying a Unifier victory, but Iām far behind on sidling up to the NPC factions and raising my overall reputation in the world.
Itās been a fun, if challenging, game. I look forward to seeing how it plays out. Celestian is my least-played class so far, so itās been a new experience for me trying to get Enlightened and Soulburn combos going.
I love this game. It makes me so excited for a possible Age of Wonders 4 on Xbox/console some time in the distant future.

I want more of these types of games on console, thatās for sure.
I finally blasted through a couple victories with Celestian Kirāko. My mistake was not utilizing Transcendents at all. I never used Absorb Pain much in AoW3, and didnāt pay it much attention here, but once I finally started coupling Transcendents + melee units (Frenzied & Light Bringers) it turned my games around completely. I completed a domination victory by grabbing territory, and then a Doomsday victory, by helping my adversaries see the Celestian light as I smote them all.
My current game is about to wrap up, and this one is a Heritor Vanguard setup. Even though Iāve owned the Revelations expansion since it released (season pass on PC & Xbox), I never did play much with the new Secret Tech. Another player is currently 7 turns away from a domination victory, and their army is currently beefier than mine, so Iāve got some mass production and modding ahead of me so I can start liberating a bunch of their sectors and win this thing.
I changed the win condition I was aiming for part way through because I couldnāt expand fast enough due to some independent shenanigans early on, and now Iām still not 100% sure which victory I would like to aim for. There are still 4 players besides myself left, and I havenāt researched any of the doomsday techs at all for this run. Iāll probably aim for domination, I just need to start exterminating the white, orange, and blue shields currently littered across the map.
I also made a huge push for Morale this time around, grabbing a bunch of skills and such to help max it as much as possible. I never realized before my Crit chance rockets up to 20% at 600+ morale in Planetfall, and oh my god thatās nice. Typically my games have stacks with 100-200ish morale. I think Iāll be focused on it a lot more in the future.
Down the rabbit hole you go.
Morale is doubly awesome in planetfall because it guarantees the hit, too.

I have orbital relays level 1 researched, but I see no option to build one. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
Theyāre sector exploits, you can check the sector exploitation screen in your colony or check individual sectors for an upgrade button.

Thanks, but I did and itās not there.

You have to have an open sector iirc (itās been a while and I usually forgot they existed).
I usually build in a newly conquered sector, but if you donāt have any you might need to destroy an existing exploitation to make room for this exploitation.

OK, thanks. It said it also upgrades whatever itās producing, so I figured I could build it on top of it.
