The game is so ridiculously polished and choices so limited in the first 13 levels (level cap is 13) that you’re unlikely to come across any bugs or issues, except perhaps with the changes in the latest patch, which are incompletely implemented at this time.

Not here either. But I suspect that’s probably to do with being outside of the US

Quick question, is there anywhere in game that shows the damage potential from the skills? Or is everything based off of the classes’s main attribute?
I read it was based off your main weapon damage - so I assume that means attribute (primary) and whatever you have in your hand?
The skills I’ve looked at all seem to be some % of weapon damage.
If you go to the skill calculator here, you can get descriptions of each skill and the damage it does. They’re pretty much all based off of your main weapon, as Bleed said.

I did notice the Dave Markell flag wasn’t mentioned in the last patch notes. Congrats!

They recently (over-)simplified tooltips in an effort to make the game more newbie-friendly. Hold down the CTRL key while hovering your mouse pointer over the skill to get the full tooltip.
They plan to make this a toggle, which everybody will obviously leave toggled on. Stupid change.
Interesting, stusser, I didn’t know that. I was just alt-tabbing out to the skill calculator instead. Thanks for the CTRL tip (and Ninyu, thanks for the congrats).
I don’t know the point of downloading the beta. I’m not going to have a minute of time to spend playing as I’m making my way through my backlog in advance of the official release.
But I’m still installing it. 'Cause it’s Diablo 3.
LOL, I just got the email saying I could download the beta, the same beta I’ve been playing all day.
I just put a couple of hours into it. So goddamn incredible.
Except it’s really laggy for me for some reason, I was getting between 600-1,000ms of response time. Is anyone else getting that high? I have a 12Mb/s connection speed, I don’t generally have issues playing games online, but this was noticable for certain. I was still able to play to level 8, but it wasn’t the “smooth” experience I had been imagining. I assume that’s the beta and it will level out before the final release, hopefully with some servers closer to me or something.
I’d hate to have to jump on the “I wan’t an offline” camp, after all this time not really having an opinion on the online only stance.
I didn’t see it, so maybe I’m missing something, but is there gamepad support? I’m discovering that my hands actually hurt after playing. Getting too dang old, I guess.
I just want to thank you guys for letting me know about the opting in for betas options. Maybe I’ll get in on the next round of beta invites.
I was pretty sure I didn’t want to be in on any beta, only the final product, until I read this last round of changes. If the game is going to be potentially so radically different from the beta anyway, I’m kind of sorry that I might miss one possible iteration of Diablo III that I’ll never get to play.

Be sure you are playing after you’ve downloaded the entire game, otherwise you will most likely get lag.
I was, but just now I loaded it up and I was only getting 90-120ms latency, so it was running like warm butter. Very cool. Hopefully that’s how it runs from now on! :)
I finished my first run-through as a Barbarian. I can’t say I was excited for this game even though I was always going to buy it. After having played it, I am just blown away at just how right they got it. It’s going to be another grand-slam home run, and a day-one/preorder purchase for me. I don’t know when it is going to come out (I would guess April/May but hopefully it’s sooner. I can’t imagine how much money this is going to make for Blizzard.

well, just got in. But thanks to the fact that every night from 8 - 12:00, my Verizon DSL drops from 13 MBps to .75 MBps, I won’t be playing until after work tomorrow. Stupid Verizon

I got in tonight. No active WOW account. Played SC2 for like a week when it came out…a few months ago I think I registered for D3 beta and ran their hardware tool on a macbook pro and a win7 pc.
