I too just got in to the beta today, but I am so torn on whether I should just wait until May 15th or just jump in and enjoy the first 13 levels, even though I will be repeating them quite a bit when the game comes out.

I’m just kicking myself that I didn’t get my monk and witch doctor to 13 for the achievements. I killed the skeleton king with each then went on to other classes to try them out before finishing them off, won’t make that mistake again.

yeah, it’s quite annoying how everyone with beta-access comes here to gloat about it…

I have two b.net accounts, both signed up for beta consideration. For months… nothing! Last night, I received a D3 beta invitation… on both accounts. It figures.

At least I can try it now.

There’s a special achievement for hitting 13 in the beta? How long does that take after you get to the end?

Beta achievements will not carry over to the retail game.

I finished the beta yesterday with a wizard character and it was very good. I don’t even know how to explain it, maybe it’s just all the years waiting or something, but it was actually better than I expected. Graphics look great, I liked the scenarios, gameplay is addicting as always, etc. Can’t wait to try the other classes now and maybe play some coop later!

pricing baffles me …

somebody can buy a boxed copy from amazon UK for £32.91 (+free delivery) that registers on battle.net (and assume would let me re-download the client from battle.net later?) OR an electronic version directly from battle.net for £44.99.

I wouldn’t hate them that much. It takes about 3 hours to defeat the beta, probably less for other people. :)

With Blizzard’s track record? It’ll languish in development for a few years in development before the cancellation is officially announced.
