Well, with the CE there is also the small matter of the Diablo shaped skull and soulstone USB stick ;) Can’t fit those in a binder :p

No matter how many times I click the “Agree” button it doesn’t start installing.

I’m gonna Cartman this bitch, unless I get a call from myself from the future saying not to do it.

Ill run the installer once, the night before just to make sure it is up-to-date. Then Ill run it in the morning while I make breakfast. I am taking Wednesday to Friday off that week. I sure hope they work out most of their issues that Tuesday. It might be a bit risky taking vacation time that close to release, I sure hope Blizzard has their ducks in a row. From what I remember the D2 launch was only shaky for like a day and a half.

The installer isn’t unlocked yet.

You can’t install the game until 8:01am PDT on May 14th.

Launch Day Preparation Guide

I think he knows that, but he’s doing so anyway in a vein hope of it actually doing something. :)

I’m glad they’re allowing installation the day before. My new SSD should be arriving this week, so I should have a clean install of Windows and a fast drive ready to roll when the 15th comes around.

Don’t make me slap you.

You actually shouldn’t slap people, in case you didn’t know about that either.

To be honest, I didn’t know about the installer not working until 8am PST on the 14th, and the article was posted just today so I actually did think I was telling everyone something they didn’t know. :)

It was definitely news to me - so thanks!

That was news to me too. Cool bananas.

Stop encouraging him!

BleedTheFreak needs no encouragement when it comes to anything Diablo 3-related. :)

That’s true. Sadly, there is no way this thing is going to live up to what I have built it up my own mind. :)

I think you’re in a pretty good spot. My impression from reading the thread is that you’ve really enjoyed replaying the Beta through the various patches and whatnot. If that’s the case, I can imagine that with the level cap and the content barriers removed, you’re gonna be like a kid in a candy store. :)

That’s what I’m hoping!

Honestly, my biggest fear right now is a repeat of Diablo 2 act III - that’s the act I find sort of boring/long and my “wall” on subsequent play throughs. Hopefully Diablo III is all acts 1 and 2!

For me, I’m looking forward to end game consisting of more than speed Mephisto/Baal runs.

I think this will be the best long-term change myself. I always preferred full clears to boss sprints from a fun-having perspective, but they were a poor second in terms of item drops. I’m very glad the D3 devs agreed and have decided to link the reward with the better play experience.

At least he doesn’t have your phone number. :P

Yeah, he’s pretty lucky. Speaking of, your phone battery better be recharged - tonight’s topic will be on Wizards. Why are they so awesome?

If you’re going to compare it to the D2 launch, then you may as well compare it to the launch of the Model T Ford. I think they were both launched around the same time :)

Diablo 2 didn’t push all the SP folks onto battle.net either, so this is a different beast.
