What about one for quitting halfway through and then taking it up again a year or two later? heh. I know people that changed their clocks for some of the Batman AC achievement points.
I don’t get that … how is that an achievement then? You didn’t achieve anything.

Turning on the game is sometimes an achievement. And losing. And lots of other things that are mindlessly simple.
No, I mean changing your system clock to cheat the achievement. That’s not achieving anything, at least not in the spirit of the achievement anyway. Basically, your gamer score means nothing at that point - which would seem important to someone who needs achievements bad enough to cheat to get them.
Achievements are generally as meaningless as if you cheated to get them.

Oh they do whatever it takes. I mean people in WoW would pay people to get them achievements all the time. I would think someone would want to earn them, but they didn’t they just wanted that little box lit up and those worthless points.

Well in fairness I think one of the Batman AC achievements was to play the game on Christmas Day and go visit Calendar Man or something like that. I dunno about you but I’m not gaming much that day, heh.
The funny thing is, that is a “Feat of Strength”. A FoS is an achievement that specifically does not award any achievement points because it’s not accessible to everyone.
An example of a FoS from World of Warcraft is “log in during WoW’s 4th anniversary”.
Yep, people are just completionists.
I’m a completionist that’s not doing it for the sake of completing things.

Blizzard should just let people pay a couple dollars in the auction house to unlock the achievement.
There probably is an achievement for your first purchase.
Achievement! You gave us more money!
See, that I kind of get. But why would you be proud of the fact that you were in a closed beta?
I don’t think Blizzard intended it as a “badge of you rock for being lucky” so much as a “Thanks!” for the people that actually provided feedback and helped just by virtue of being logged in and helping stres the system or putting in a trouble ticket. They can’t single out the actually helpful testers though, so they ended up just giving a little perk to the entire group.

Even though I typically find achievements to be useless I do once in a blue moon get hooked on trying to get them. It paid off with Grand Theft Auto 4, at the launch they had an opportunity to get a very limited physical “Key To The City” for 100% completion. I made it with just a day or so to spare. It’s a pretty cool swag item, very well made, and extremely rare. I wish more pubs / devs would do stuff like that.
Edit: pic
I think it’s pretty funny that Blizzard is giving out a feat of strength for closed beta testers. It almost makes it seem like Blizzard asked if anyone would be willing to help them out with a beta test and some nice guys were all like, “Oh, sure, I guess I’ll help you test that new Diablo game out.”
I will be getting that feat of strength though so… yay?
dead island kinda had one like that. you had to play it at least 28 days after starting it. (but you didn’t HAVE to quit in the meantime)
So who cares ? Apparently my one friend (he is 22) , and has been raging all day, he even complained / bitched at me, as I didn’t even reach the end of the beta with all the classes. Heck I hated monk so much I didn’t even get to the kings crown with that character.
Anyway I was like dude , who cares ? That caused more rage / tears.
Such rage and tears make me feel good. D:

Can someone explain the witch docotors motivation for being a hero? As far as I can tell the WD should probably be on the side of the demons rather than a goodie. Summoning the dead, terrifying their oppoents etc all sounds like a case for being on the wrong side of the tracks.
OK yes. This is a stupid question. Im just super excited and need to fill in the 5d8h35m remaining.
