That’s F-ing cool, congrats!

Probably this (from the Diablo3.com sites Witch Doctor page) has something to do with it:

"When a man dies, witch doctors feel what they suspect is the breath of life leaving his cooling body. And, when calamity or genocide sends hundreds to their graves at once, witch doctors can sense their trembling and shrieking from beyond.

Witch doctors cannot cover their ears to the voices of the spirits. As the sounds of disquiet grow louder, their choice is made. They must restore the balance between their world and the Unformed Land, or watch the torment of generations past for the rest of their lives… and forever after."

Thank you Bleed and Stusser.

Also the Blizz forums are hilarious with the outrage about the sigil for the beta testers.

This one is on going

This one has been capped

I especially love the smug people winding those who missed out up.

I guess they should have signed up for the WoW yearly pass and they’d have gotten their little FoS!

I signed up for the yearly pass the day it was available and I did not get into the D3 beta.

The annual pass had nothing to do with the D3 beta. It gets you into the Mists of Pandaria beta.

Huh. I suppose I might have one of those sigils if I received a closed beta invite?

Ah yeah it was the pandaland beta, my bad.

They may not have intended it as a badge of honor, but they know people will treat it like one. “I’ve been playing since beta” is a common refrain to dismiss out of hand any comment from someone newer in-game. And now the condescending people have proof. Also it drives the completionists nuts to know there’s an achievement they’ll never have. It’s not an uncommon practice, but the tears aren’t unexpected either.

It really is one of blizzards greatest moments of trolling.

Ok, so if I wanted to get my hands on a collector’s edition at 10:00 release day, is Best Buy a good bet?

So will bandwidth allow me and my son to play Diablo at the same time? (Either single player or together) I’m in Australia. Did anyone in Australia try to run 2 accounts from the same house?

How can anyone seriously have a problem with not getting something as utterly trivial as a “Feat of Strength”? Are they all pre-teens?

I don’t think it’s uncommon for people to feel slighted when they are told that some people are getting something (for doing nothing, really) while they cannot. Keep in mind that the people getting this thing already got what many perceive to be a benefit. That of playing the D3 beta for a much longer period than others. I think it’s more interesting that Blizzard didn’t foresee this reaction.

Pretty much.

Edit: In reply to DKD.

Not foreseeing this is saying blizzard is stupid and more than $150 million a month in income says otherwise. I’d bet it was a marketing managers idea to generate even more buzz, because my 96 year old grandmother has even heard of diablo3 and not from me.

But how can someone consider an added “title” consisting of a string variable that took some Bliz developer 2 seconds to, probably semi-randomly, come up with - worth getting pissed about?

Because Blizzard cannot make a mistake, correct?

Yea, like the RealID thing from a couple years ago!

Have you seen their forums? I bet they have. They know how childish the 99% are.
