Yai, just tried again and it’s working! ;)

Yep, me too, I guess that’s what I get for being 8 minutes late to the party

Ehm, except I get a streaming error trying to install from the DVD… ARGH!

Haha! That’s what you people get for not being at work instead!

sobs

No no, I’m glad I took the week off. Now I have the day to troubleshoot!

First step, re-download the damn thing

I must’ve gotten in before 3million people all installing at once brought Blizzard’s servers to their knees.

It’s installing now… ;)

It seems to be working now, or I just got lucky. Who knows!

Mine’s working now too. I’m redownloading it in another folder just in case this screws up, but so far it’s working now.

If you get the streaming error, just keep trying to install. It works eventually.

Well, enjoy people. I’ll be happily sleeping by midnight. Unless one of those spiders happens to be in my room, that is… Luckily they don’t grow that big in Holland, but I do remember a room in Townsville, with a Huntsman just as big, and at least as many little ones swarming around…

Needless to say, I slept outside that night. Probably right between a lot móre spiders then inside, I know, but at least I hadn’t seen them…

Yup, downloading myself. Just came here to let everyone know it’s doable, and whaddaya know, I’m nowhere near first.

How big IS that spider?

I’m so glad this thread moved to the next page. That picture was top-drawer nightmare fuel.

You mean that picture?

Blizzard actually relaxed that requirement, you only need to hit level 10 with any character to unlock the ability to create hardcore characters. I’m still playing it in regular mode myself and saving hardcore for months later when I want to try something new, I suspect.

Big enough I can’t get out of my head just HOW to handle something like that. Some sort of chemical warfare from 50’ away is my guess. Or a shotgun. A shotgun that can fire rapidly without having to pump inbetween rounds.

I didn’t see that one coming (referring to spidey pic) sigh

Love the installer music…

Options are always good, I’m glad they made it so you could start hardcore at Level 10. When I got Diablo 2 I wished that I could do my first playthough as Hardcore, before seeing all the game/monsters/encounters. I don’t think I’ll utilize that option this time around just because Hardcore makes it difficult when you’re playing with friends.

I hope your computer blows up, right at midnight.

The music is really nice. It sounds exactly the same as the Diablo I music.

I was thinking about building a supersized vacuum-cleaner and then dumping it in the pacific ocean after the deed is done.
