Yep, timed out in creation, then timed out in hero retrieval.

Yep, in but can’t create characters.

still retrieving my hero list… hmmmmm. AHHH TIME OUT 3006. try again!

Same, in, but times out on character creation. Not a great queue system apparently.

On a semi-related note, the character name restrictions have some issues. They’re aggressively filtering harmless substrings.

wow maybe i shouldnt have taken a vacation day for this… :-(

Asia and Europe cleared up pretty quick by all reports.

Was in, timed out on heroes.

Sure am glad they made this online…

Server’s been up for 15 minutes. You knew this would happen.

Show some sand.

It took around 30-60 minutes for Asia and Europe to smooth out, although none were complaining of the timeouts at character creation.

cool, i just made it to char creation screen… trying to make a female monk… gah! more errors!

I managed to get to character creation, but it just keeps timing out. I actually thought that Blizzard would manage to get this working from the beginning, a little dissapointed.

What Charmtrap said.

yeh, i kind of knew this would happen, considering im up at 2am. hehe. o well. ive had enough coffee so i’m good!

maybe we should get some voice chat going later!

Dammit Blizz, WangChung the monk wants to kick some ass

The forums aren’t even responding. No doubt clogged by all the QQ.

you know i deliberately didnt follow alot of DIII previews and such… kinda cool you can make a male/female version of each class… yup still waiting to create my female monk.

Was stuck at login for a long time, finally got in. Looks like hero creation / hero list retrieval is the bottleneck. Hopefully it’ll clear up.

I imagine we are all stuck in the character creation screen…

Millions of us.

Yup. It doesn’t seem to have any proper queuing system on character creation, so the end result is even more load as people manually keep hammering it. Fuck, even if you can’t keep everyone in a server side queue hand back a splay time and have the client auto-submit it again.

Well at least The Singing Nun is on TCM.
