It is pretty abusable. I wasn’t at the point where I could spam it indefinitely but I could see that being a possibility. 1.5s is still useful FWIW, just not nearly as good as 3s. I could see it being 1.5s, 2.5s with rune, and a 5s cooldown.

It wasn’t dropping aggro for me un-runed so it’s basically worthless right now.

It definitely drops aggro and is definitely not worthless. But Inferno Act 2 is waaaaay harder without 3s. I still pwn Act 1 pretty hard.

There are a ton of items I want that are well out of my current budget. Are you guys all just basing the AH on lower level items or something? Those are clearly very cheap but at the higher levels there’s a lot of crazy good stuff at crazy high prices.

Well yeah, I think the majority of the people playing this game are going to be Normal/Nightmare spenders and sellers.

What I actually think is funny is that you can buy rings/amulets at the vendor that are of Wounding or have a high stat value, and sell it for 2-3x as much on the auction house and people will buy it.

So … what’s the problem? Don’t play the AH if you are only going to play normal and quit. Play the AH if you’re going to keep playing and want good gear along the way. The pricing is actually pretty decent right now even at lower levels. It just doesn’t make sense if you expect a level 20 legendary to be millions of gold. Yes there are lots of nooks and crannies of the market that you can abuse to earn money. That’s actually kind of cool and fun. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I rarely have it drop aggro, I’d say maybe only 20% of the time. Even at a 3s duration, they’d just barely start breaking off right as it wore off, if at all. I just tried it with the 1.5s rune and… it’s just not working for me. Monster is in my face, I hit it, monster follows me around for 1.5 seconds and continues to pummel me the second it goes down.

I’ve switched to Vault, but vault has a tiny bit of a windup to it which I don’t care for, especially on the higher difficulties.

Not my experience at all – maybe it’s lag? With 3s I could get completely offscreen from them. Now it’s more of an oh-shit button than a full escape but I’m definitely not switching to vault.

Just suffered serious lag for the first time. Of course I was playing hardcore at the time. I actually got stuck on a spot it wouldn’t let me move from In the middle of a good-sized fight (I rubber banded every time I tried to move). fortunately, I was able to actually use Leap to get out of the middle of everything.

Yeah, I’ve completely stopped crafting weapons/armor because you can easily buy the exact piece of gear you want off the AH for under 20k. In fact, every piece of loot I’m wearing now came from the AH for under 20k.

Same. I sort my buyout to 1k and kitted out my toon in all rares. Doubled his HP, armor and DPS.

The Hardcore AH actually has a sink for the items and reflects a much more “realistic” economic situation, though of course there is a pure premium on +Vitality and +LPH/LS items.

You didn’t read what I was talking about, you pulled a little quote and then asked me questions about things I already talked about… which is that you don’t have to “play” the AH at all if you want good gear along the way.

I think the HC AH is where crafting will really be valuable. Being able to make stuff and sell the best pieces will net tons of gold for your HC toons.

A blue response indicating that basically Inferno shouldn’t be beaten by anyone at this point except the handful of crazies, and that they’re intentionally using it to flush out broken/overpowered abilities.

Since you nerfed the 2 classes capable of doing it it is now virtually impossible. There are a few players who have done things such as kill diablo, but bosses are the easiest part of inferno....

Aaaannnd the auction house has imploded once again. Oh well. Yeah it is much harder to find cheap goodies on the HCAH. I did manage to nab a decent weapon for my barbarian’s youth. Right now I want to save up enough cash that I can try and make a bit of money trading.
