Oh hell, I could search the dam, spreadsheet to make sure it was a qt3er. I have been able to identify folks thus far. I searched the forum to see if it popped up in the battle.net tag thread.

Yea, Charmptrap joined my game (Porkchops) once and I felt bad because my two friends and I were LANing. He probably thought we were all mute Korean farmers or something. ;)

Please put “qt3” or “from qt3” or “Forsooth good sir, I cometh from the fareth landeth of Quarter toeth Tharree!” in your friend request. Some of the hacking rumors involve random people on your friends’ lists, so lots of people are being careful. I know I declined a bunch I didn’t recognize.

I’m sure this has been asked before, but with the advent of the real money AH, how will it work to sell items? Will Blizz actually give me the cash, or will I only be able to buy more Blizz stuff on battle.net?

You will be able to move the cash out to a Paypal account, though there’s a 15% fee for doing so. I’m sure they’ll be happy to sell you stuff on Battle.net too if you want.

The Legendaries in this game are ridiculously poor. I was looking through the AH today and I was thinking that I could easily find rares with much much better stats.

It definitely drops aggro and is definitely not worthless. But Inferno Act 2 is waaaaay harder without 3s. I still pwn Act 1 pretty hard.

I wasn’t making it up, that came after an hour of testing it out.

Uh, nor did I? 5 hours played in Inferno Act 2 today that would have been a mess without Smoke Screen. Definitely losing aggro. Occasionally they still chase in my direction but generally it works fine, albeit for only 1.5s.

Well got my Barb to 60 last night, blasted through inferno Act I fairly easily, and suprisingly im half way through act II now, just killed the Jailer. The rare mobs can be tough, but no where near as bad as people have been making out, i do die now, which i think i may have only died 3-4 times in my journey to inferno level.

Im enjoying the challenge of inferno, looking forward to act III been even tougher!

Finally broke out Spike Traps tonight. They’re awesome!

I started with the Scatter rune that places 3 at a time. If they all land that’s 825% weapon damage with a potential to AoE. That’s probably the best way to go for general fighting.

However I found another, sneakier approach. I took Bandolier, the first rune, that lets you drop down up to 6 traps at once (6 can be up, but you have to drop them one at a time). Then I bring in a boss/champ mob and get him to walk over it. Since I have Sharpshooter I will at this point have a 100% crit chance. I have +266% crit damage. So that means:

6 traps * 366% crit damage * 275% base damage = 6000% damage

With 1300 Dex and an 800 base DPS crossbow that drops every champ I’ve seen and either kills bosses outright or puts them very low.

They’re rebooting the servers. I got a message about a server shutting down, but I logged out and came back in 5 minutes later it seemed ok. So I think if you see that message just relog and you’ll probably hit a different server.

What’s the point of having a helmet be “unique equipped”? Is the expansion going to add two-headed ogres or something?
