That’s really… philosophical. And sucky.
Day off work: Error 37. Screw this game.
If you spam connect, you can defeat the Error 37 boss.
Great design. Does he drop loot?
I suspect the constant twiddling with stuff on their end, and perhaps consequent data base oddities, are to to blame. But who knows? All part of the wonderful world of server-side online gaming I guess.

It sounds like something has ben implemented in a very hacky way, half-assed, and that a error perhaps just a timming problem, a exposed that to you.
This also means that D3 now have “Ghost” characters. Is possesed!.
The first expansion pack perhaps will be about rescueing the spirit of leah from hell, or sub-hell, whanever where the dark crystal falls. Or maybe we enter the crystal or somethERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.ERROR 37!.
Another night… another error 37. this is great.
Time to fire up Gothic 3.
Good thing the Single and Multiplayer part of the game is tied to their shoddy online service… or I’d been able to play it.
Torchlight 2 is looking better and better.
One can only hope Activi$ion are still having issues with B.net when TL2 is released.
Well the Bliz forums are continuing to implode. What is odd is that there have been no Blue posts concerning the mess that has continued into today. Not even a “We are looking into the situation message”.
I wasn’t able to get on all last night. Kept getting the “Server busy” notice.
I was able to log on the American servers only. But with all my characters on European servers atm, that’s not much use: I really don’t feel like starting a new one. And I must admit, that’s pretty annoying. I still don’t mind the ‘always online’ part, I stated in several other posts that I understand that bit and that hasn’t changed. But I do feel that Blizzard should have gotten this working by now, and I hope they get their act together real soon. If not, I guess I’ll just have to play all characters on both European and USA servers, to ensure I at least get some usefull playing in every now and then…
Whatever they did yesterday is working. My latency has been solid sub-40ms since last night.
Having been locked out of Diablo for two of the three free time periods in the last week that I’ve had to play it, I’m thinking I should buy two copies of Torchlight 2 just to reward Runic for not doing this online only bullshit.
People say it’s from joining the General chat channel. I don’t know why that would do it, but if that is indeed the case, it just goes to show you there’s no such thing as a free lunch!

Thats interesting. I seem to get auto joined to the channel. Which I immediately disconnected from as it was full of farmers.
Certainly the most idiotic move they made in the recent patch. I have to turn it off every time I log in. How fun for me.
[Edit] Just found this:
Our current plan is to apply a change to this in an upcoming patch so that your chat preferences are saved when you leave a game. This means you wouldn’t be connected to General chat when you join a game if you had left the channel in your last game. We’ll let you know when we have more details available about this potential change.

I’m apparently a lucky bastard as I’ve had two legendaries drop in one game. On my level 14-15 wizard IIRC while playing with 2 friends. The wiz offhand that dropped lasted me until 20 or so (could’ve replaced it earlier if I’d bothered) and some witch doctor dagger that was a level 15 item with ok stats but nothing that most rares wouldn’t beat. I sold it for less than I should have but someone actually paid 15k gold for it.
So they put auto join on the channel, but still leave you with a 120x80 resolution chat interface designed by … well, I doubt that was designed at all.

Uh oh, now you’ve done it - prepare yourself to be yelled at by people who believe strongly that the interface for a 1988-era vt100-based IRC client is the platonically perfect chat solution for a modern game.
