It’s always an option to install Windows yourself if you want to maximise compatibility, which is what I did - @Noman put together a great guide a while ago:
EDIT: at the time, Amazon were selling Windows keys for about $15 - but from a quick search it looks like there may have been a crackdown on it since then, so that might be an extra barrier to overcome.
