Hold on. There’s a history of disgruntled young men going to schools to kill people. And I might not bat an eye if it was just one attacker who wanted to find a soft target and then commit suicide.
But a team of people requires planning and commitment, and escaping the scene is a whole new set of implications.
But yes, this could all be completely false information. We’ll see.

According to ABC news, several independent eyewitness reports of shooters wearing body armor. Still not sure if scene is clear yet.
Body armor reports are probably the most useless since people mistake them for simple tactical vests, and the media certainly never corrects them.

Other countries must have fewer mass shootings because their conservative politicians offer thoughts and prayers more vigorously.
Yup. It’s akin to when every APC and IFV was reported as a “tank” during Iraq. People routinely mistake any black shirt/pants with carry webbing as “body armor.”
Of course, a lack of body armor doesn’t necessarily mean anything either. Three shooters wearing tactical webbing/clothes would still indicate a measure of coordination and planning.
That’s pretty funny, though it probably has the opposite effect in the Middle East!
KTLA reporting that the county was using space in the building for some kind of holiday party and awards ceremony.
Might have been the target.
I was about to say, this happened the same day those two dudes beat the guy with cerebral palsy and then used his phone to post a video of it on his own Facebook page. What did the disabled do to piss everyone off??

Leeching off the government, obviously.
I wish I was joking.
Heh, if they think federal politicians can “truly end” the problem of violence that happens to be committed with guns, well… that level of faith would make an evangelical blush.

I’m pretty sure that, hyperbole aside, the meaning is to enact stricter gun control legislation. Rather than praying, which helps absolutely nothing.
I still think gun control advocates are missing a great opportunity to tell all the racists that taking guns away means minorities an Muslims can’t have them either!
They just don’t think far enough outside the box.
Nah. That argument doesn’t work because the discussion then goes to “minorities and furriners don’t buy their guns legally anyway so we need our guns to defend ourselves.”
I was just browsing through California’s gun laws to see what they were like these days. (Wikipedia is proof that God wants us to be happy.)
The gun laws of California are some of the most restrictive in the United States. A Firearm Safety Certificate, obtained by passing a written test, is required for gun purchases… Private sales of firearms must be done through a licensed dealer. All firearm sales are recorded by the state, and have a ten-day waiting period. Unlike most other states, California has no provision in its state constitution that explicitly guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms.
Semi-automatic firearms that the state has classified as assault weapons, .50 BMG caliber rifles, and magazines that can hold more than ten rounds of ammunition may not be sold in California.
California is a “may issue” state for permits to carry concealed guns. The willingness of issuing authorities in California ranges from No Issue in most urban areas to Shall Issue in rural counties.
This sounds a lot like the recent nationwide proposals I’ve heard after every shooting.

Except that, such is the case in Chicago, many people move guns from less restrictive states to more restrictive ones. The plurality of guns in Chicago were purchased in Indiana. I would not be surprised if it was similar in California. Some issues need to be addressed at a federal level. This is one of them.

I think California frowns on buying guns elsewhere and bringing them in here. I am not sure if that is in law or has just been talked about though. I can remember it being talked about.
They have announced the guns were legally purchased, they just didn’t know at that time if the shooters were the buyers.
You’re not thinking far enough ahead. Mexico’s only a stone’s throw away. We need the UN involved!
They said 2 of the 4 were legally purchased. Two of them were AR-15s and one of them was a shitbox handgun. I assume the rifles were the illegal ones but I’m not sure exactly how California’s assault weapons ban works. They might just need to change some features to make them legal for sale.
No word on magazine capacity, but of course two people working together wearing tactical vests can do just fine with 10 rounds each.
