It’s not really baffling. Most or all right wing politicians are in the pocket of the NRA, and the NRA is in the pocket of gun manufactures. Gun manufacturers want to sell as many weapons as possible, so ideally they want zero regulations. It’s all about the money, all the time.
Yep. Same goes for the emerging bulletproof school supplies market. Unfettered capitalism, baby!
Indeed, a massacre without any follow-up action to restrict gun sales is an absolute dream scenario for gun manufacturers. Fear drives up sales.

Yeah… funny how the NRA rarely, if ever, speaks up for when that happens.
Oh, I get it, the problem is we’re thinking and praying too late. We need to pray the crazy out of these people before they start shooting!

As someone who remembers growing up in the 90’s and being mercilessly bullied for not being athletic/ cool but being a book reading nerd?
Fuck this guy in particular.
Yeah. It was fun being a theater dude with a lot of female friends who always hung out with me, and being called a “faggot” by football players. And I’m all, “Yeah. I’m around a ton of girls, and you’re getting naked with other guys in a locker room every day.”
Don’t get me wrong. The jerks were a minority. I had jock friends too. But those insecure wienies that tried to use “gay” as a blade were annoying. Luckily I decided to laugh them off, do theater, and read and answer questions in class.

Another gem in that is the scope on there like he is going to engage in a firefight with someone beyond maybe 50-100m in combination with the foregrip. This is someone living out their CoD fantasy.

I’m guessing this guy rapes.

I am not taking the bet against that.
That can’t possibly be real. Own the School Year like a Hero? To advertise a gun display? That’s got to be photoshop.

It wasn’t, but it doesn’t look like it’s from this year. I guess you can post it any year now and… refer back to a mass shooting.

It the videogames fault:
This bit from the article is something else though:
Who thought that was a brilliant idea as something to create.
[Narrator:] The extrajudicial seizures and executions started sooner than expected.
Officials said Willis answered the door while holding a handgun.
Willis then placed the gun next to the door.
When officers began to serve him the order, Willis became irate and grabbed his gun.
One of the officers tried to take the gun from Willis, but instead Willis fired the gun.
The second officer fired a gun, striking Willis. He died at the scene.
If the summary in your article is accurate, uhh, I’m not sure what to say. It’s a tragedy that the guy died, but at the same time it seems like he helped it along by getting into a struggle for a gun with the police.
The only other article on this incident that I could find mentions that a family member raised the red flag on Willis after an incident earlier in the week. This led to the court order which led to the cops arriving, which doesn’t really sound extra-judicial. It seems literally judicial. Again, I’d like to know more before moving to judgement.
I wonder which Walmart product was supposed to get the sign that said ‘Own the school year like a hero’? Because that looks like a real sign, not something someone drew up in their garage. Maybe…clothes? Pencils?

Yes. It’s private property, they can say “no guns” and then ask you to leave. If you don’t it would be tresspassing.
