For the Blake Blivens story, I read that the shooter was his brother-in-law (i.e., his wife’s brother). Frankly not really a gun specific story to me, more of a domestic violence one that involved a gun.

The Blivens story is just sad. I lived in the general area for about 30 years. From my friends still down in that part of the world it sounds like the family just let his mental condition slide. That community has always been very clannish & some what self-contained.

White male mid 30s. No confirmation of second shooter. Two vehicles were used by same person. Started with traffic stop by DPS. Shot DPS and went on. At least 4 PD from Midland, Odessa and TxDOT hit. Shooter shot and killed at movie theatre.
