So I have stealth up to the level where you get the free evasion upon detection. Should I have anything in my skills menu by now? It is completely empty.

During the tutorial I thought I had awareness but I have literally nothing.

I think I died during that tutorial, and the reloaded checkpoint never added the initial skill. I’ve noticed that when it auto reloads a checkpoint there are no enemies present, unless I explicitly go to the menu and select load. Bah.

Once you get enough points in stealth, awareness becomes on all the time, which is why it is no longer selected in the menu.

That’s one level up from where I am now. Is ‘Silent Running’ something that should be on the skills menu? I’m at level 4 stealth and that’s level 3, but there’s nothing there.

I had death/reload induced scripting errors break the game in initially non-obvious ways too, FWIW.

Yeah, that’s one caveat you should be aware of. Never use the “Resume Game” or “Load Last Checkpoint” or whatever it’s called. The normal “Load Game” is the only one that works reliably.

I just finished Rome. Should I choose Moscow or Taipei if I wanted a relatively easy target?

Moscow and side with G22 gives you access to good gear.

FWIW, I thought Taipei was a lot easier than Moscow. IMHO, Moscow has two of the most difficult and frustrating fights before the end game.

Definitely Taipei first since you get some essential help for the Moscow end boss. But remember that you can also switch locations between missions.

Ok. I hate frustrating and difficult fights, so I’ll go with Taipei first then. Let me get as much enjoyment out of AP before I get frustrated and give up (I hope that doesn’t happen). Maybe I should add that I’m playing Stealth with Pistol Proficiency.

You will become a near-god among men by the end of the game if you keep putting points into stealth and pistols. It’s insanely fun to take out several enemies with the pistol at once.

Also be sure to put enough points in the Tech tree to get Brilliance so you can do it twice in a row. :)

Trust me: Moscow hub & not hitting girls will get you the best piece of stealth armour in the game. It’s worth it.

You’re not locked into one hub at a time, you can jump around as much as you want. You might want to make a certain friend in Taipei before reaching the end of Moscow.

Yeah, it’s easy to miss the ‘back’ button the mission select screen. Per suggestions in this thread, I did one mission in Rome bugging the CIA then went to Moscow and did Grigori and then the yaht, to open up the stealth armor.

Any other suggestions for things that should be done before others? For either story or mechanical reasons. I’m probably not going to play through twice so I’m gonna be as completionist as possible. I’m perfectly happy doing one mission in a location then flying to another.

On my skills bug – I ended up having to restart. NEVER use resume, just use ‘load checkpoint’ each time. They should just patch out the other button.
