If you’re in the market for a new device I recommend the Samsung Galaxy S10. I picked one up in the Nov Black Friday sales. I’m impressed with the device. Its camera might not quite match up to the Pixel devices but it’s decent… and that would be my description of all the features. Battery life = decent, build quality = decent, waiting time for OS updates = decent. That might sound underwhelming but what it equates to is a really good all-rounder. I paired mine with a Galaxy Watch (that I also got in the sales) and they make for a great combination.
