Hmmm…

Don’t fucking even with me right now.

I stand by my position.

Silver lining, pretty sure you can add device insurance through Fi up to 30 days after purchase.

Oh I already had it. I just bought a $70 cable and charger (because the deductible, you see), wheeee.

On the other hand that’s pretty much Apple prices anyway.

If/when I get a 5a I’m definitely getting a nice minimalist Spigen case for it. They’re barely noticeable.

Yep, I have had Spigen on my last 2 phones, great cases.

Well good news, my Titan Pocket arrived today. It’s definitely different, but I didn’t get to play too much with it because, bad news, my sim card couldn’t be activated remotely in the phone. I have to take it to a T-Mobile store tomorrow. Ugh, people. Still, hoping to get it all squared away so I can start trying to acclimate to a physical keyboard.

So I finally have the Titan Pocket all set up and WOW this keyboard is goanna take some getting used to, but I think I love it. Also the spacebar might be too small, but I’ll adapt.

That phone looks a nightmare dragged out of the past, w/ requisite terrible cameras to boot @BrianRubin. Hope it scratches your itch! :)

Dude, I had no idea how much I missed a headphone jack and notification LED BUT I MISSED THEM SO MUCH.

AODnotify was so necessary on my Galaxy S21 Ultra. The lack of a headphone jack is such bullshit. God I hate bluetooth.

Sounds like you might need yourself…one Titan Pocket?

It sounds GREAT with wired headphones. Just saying. ;)

Nope. Phone is primary use device for large portions of my day. Need large screen well equipped for video, excellent cameras, and ability to juggle heavy multitasking loads and massive amounts of storage usage without choking.

It sucks, but the phone I want hasn’t been made since the Galaxy Note 4.

My 5a 5G has a headphone port ;)

Alright then I’mma be over here enjoying my headphone jack all by my lonesome.

I dunno… I have found that Bluetooth 5.0 earbuds work pretty flawlessly with my Pixel 4XL. Up through Bluetooth 4, yeah… crappy connections, dropped calls, needed re-pairing frequently, etc. But I have Sennheiser CX400BT buds (Bluetooth 5.0) and they work beautifully.

Even better are the Between Pro true wireless buds from Status Audio. Those are Bluetooth 5.2 and they connect every time, even before I can get them into my ears!

You can keep your headphone jack and your twisted wires, Rubin. We have no need for them over here in the 21st century.

Headphone jacks were a standard thing like five years ago.

So were articles about how Trump could never be elected president, to be fair.

Weird flex but alright.

So I’ve been using the Titan Pocket full-time for a week now and I love it. The only downside serious moving from the Note 10+ is the smaller screen, but that really hasn’t been a problem. The camera is also worse on the TP but I don’t care much about that as it’s serviceable. The thumbprint reader is a billion times better, bluetooth is more reliable, call quality is great, having physical keys is SO. NICE. I’m still getting used to typing on it but I’m getting quicker every day.

Also because the screen is so small, battery life is amazing. I used it HARD the other day, like almost 8 hours of screen time after unplugging it. Still had over 40% battery after all that.

So far there have only been a few weirdsies, such as Google Maps looking weird on this small screen, but I can make that work. Ultimately I am super freaking happy with this thing.
