I skipped that one and got a 5a w/5G which is a bit tall but otherwise feels pretty good in my hand.
Anyone know how to see how strong a provider’s cellular service is in a given area? We have AT&T service and the signal’s a bit weak in our home. We are thinking of trying T-Mobile. It would be great if we had a way to testing the strength of the signal before committing. Is there a way to do that?
Also, as long as I’m talking about T-Mobile, does anyone use their home internet service?

I gave it a try when they rolled out to everyone. When it worked it was great - faster than my Spectrum plan. However the fine print says that your data is lowest priority which I found out in the middle of a work day when I was pulling little more than dial up speeds. Hooked my Spectrum equipment back up and returned the TMO router the next day.
Promising, not quite there. Especially if you need a reliable, consistent high speed connection.
Perhaps?
I am still in the valley of 4G LTE.
I really hate this front-fingerprint scanner on the Pixel 6 Pro. It just doesn’t work half the time and I have to type in my password all the time.
I really hope they go back to the fingerprint scanner on the back. The one on my Pixel 3 worked 100% of the time.
Yeah, the under-screen fingerprint scanners are absolute shit. The one on my S21 Ultra is a continuous source of minor misery.
The one on my S21 Ultra is 100,000x better than the one on my Note 10, so improvement?
I had to clean the fingerprint reader on the back of the Pixel devices pretty regularly for it to work, and the under-screen is working for me pretty much always.
Weird, I’ve had 3 phones running now that used those rear fingerprint sensors and I’ve never had to clean any of them ever. They always just worked.
I once had to clean the rear fingerprint sensor because I had cheetos dust on my finger. D’oh! I didn’t do it again.
My back of phone fingerprint readers have worked amazingly well on every phone I’ve had with them. Never used an underscreen one.
Just don’t use your pussy finger.
All of my fingers are pussies. Makes it really awkward to shake hands.
I just had to switch back over to Nova Launcher to remove the temptation of the godawful Google News feed on swiping left from the Pixel Launcher. Man, fuuuuuck that thing and its algo-driven brain poison. I’d rather get back into Reddit.
Seems good though! Definitely improved since last I used it.
Nova Launcher is the shit.
Anything in particular you like about it? So far the main difference is the little bottom bar/search widget thing, which I’m really liking.
It’s so god damned customizable. From drawers to swiping to wallpaper setup and more. It really lets you make the phone behave exactly the way you want it to. Seriously dive into the options and see what you can do.
