Hey everyone! There’s a Fall update coming out on Sept. 30!
Spoilered summary if you don’t want to watch the video:
- Halloween on October 31
- Pumpkin-themed craftable items
- You can plant and harvest pumpkins for crafting
- New skin colors: red, green, blue, etc.
- New hair colors
- New scary emotes
- NookLink app update so you can emote from your phone
- Probably something else I forgot
I’m just continuously struggling to find storage space, so I get less excited for the updates that involve getting more stuff. I spend more time doing storage management and island cleanup than anything else these days, it seems.
I’ve started selling back items that I can reorder from the store. Also, if you have a bunch of clothes, just take you basement or something and put as much as you can on the walls. Those are the only suggestions I can offer!
Oh, I’ve been just selling off stuff I won’t put out or wear, or giving it away. It’s just sad that I spend all that time making and collecting stuff but have to get rid of it to make room for more stuff. It’s…not as rewarding as one may think.
I dread the coming of winter when all the stuff I have outside doesn’t make sense anymore, and I have no place to put it.
Yeah, it’s kind of exhausting trying to keep everything organized. I wish there was an easy way to double or quadruple the available storage space. If you like to have a lot of available outfits (like I do), it just takes up a lot of storage space.

This thread isn’t very active anymore (I know a bunch of people have stopped playing) but I was so happy to see this this morning that I had to share.
The last hybrid flower I had yet to breed (as it’s the most difficult), but honestly, I had’t really been trying very hard. I never had a huge field of roses, just small patches here and there following one of the “guaranteed” breeding paths. The five hybrid reds in the picture are the entirety of my blue-breeding hybrids, and up until a couple of days ago, I only had three of them. Woke up today to my first blue.
Probably took about 6-8 weeks since I started making an earnest attempt to work on them, which was right after I’d finally managed to score green mums (which have since been multiplying like crazy). I’m looking forward to spreading the blue roses, especially since there’s a gap in the blue flower lined path to my house that’s been waiting for blue roses. ;)

Congratulations! It is quite a journey to get there.
I’ve had to tear down my now-superfluous flower fields to make room for pumpkin farming next week. Hopefully that doesn’t take up too much space!

I’m fortunate there, as part of my island has a “fake” farm on it already where the fields are made up of melon patterned beach balls and moss ball plants, hehe. I’ll just be able to turn those fields into real ones!
Oh hell yeah! I wound up abandoning plans for flower breeding fairly quickly - just took too much focus - vs drifted away from daily play thanks to depression, but my gf has been keeping things up and exciting on Arubelle, and I’m coming out of the fog a little bit. Excited for Halloween!!

It is quite daunting, which is why I took my time with it all. I never had massive fields dedicated to “powerleveling” flowers, hehe, but I did want to have them all. I focused on a few types/colors at a time, and specifically left the blue roses for last because I knew I’d actually have to use my brain to keep track of what to breed with what.
I’ve been seeing some amazing Halloween decorations that people have come up with on Reddit. Honestly, I love my island, but there are some damn creative and talented people over there!
If anyone wants to get some of the rarer colors without going through all the breeding yourself, I’m happy to drop flowers off for you. I have at least one of every color, and hopefully at least a couple of extras. Just say the word and I can drop by.
