Had to Celeste and run because dinner was ready. Got a space shuttle recipe! Thank you so much again for opening up.

Thanks from me as well!

Glad to have you all!

Quasi-related to the unintended squickiness around the Papa nickname from a villager, but the other day, one of my villagers, Buck, a lime green jocky horse with mean eyebrows and a leg day fixation, asked me to delivery a gift to Sylvana, a mouse-y quiet Normal-style squirrel girl whose house is decked out in adorable cherry blossom furniture and picnic baskets, because he was too embarrassed to do so himself.

When I got there and Sylvana opened the present, it was a. . . bathrobe. She bashfully said she doesn’t like trying on clothes in front of people and told me to tell Buck thanks. When I reported back to him, he was very happy that she liked it and said he should go over and see how it looks. [insert scream emoji here, since Qt3 still doesn’t have them]

Ahem.

On the subject of delivering gifts for villagers. I was tasked to deliver a present which turned out to be some sort of horribly cheesy super-hero suit that did not look good at all. I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings (!) so I kept my thoughts to myself.

Am I doomed to see her wearing it around the island at some point?

If the villager tried on the clothes but you didn’t choose the option that is clearly the one where you tell them it’s not great, then yeah… they’ll probably end up wearing it. After always being afraid of basically telling them “hey that looks awful on you” because I didn’t want to upset them, I drew the line when someone wanted me to give my precious Skye something hideous. It turns out that you can tell them it looks awful, they won’t wear it, and you can tell the gifter the “truth” and they’re perfectly fine with how it went down. So now I do that.

I also started declining trades with villagers who want a piece of clothing that I have on me but haven’t gotten to Nooks yet to sell, because I know it will look awful on them. They’re always disappointed, but they get over it pretty quick, hehe.

I’ve got Redd in port today, and he has exactly one real painting, and it’s one I already have annoyingly. It’s the “Twinkling Painting” (Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”), so if anyone wants to come get it, give me a shout.

Don’t think anyone needs bells here but my Nooks are buying turnips for 452. Dodo fh26b. If it’s closed text me at 9084617181 to open.

I can if still available please!

@Kadath You bet! Let me get on and get you a code.

Standing by :)

Okay, gate’s open - 1Q789. Bring a ladder! @Kadath

Ty as always!

My pleasure! Non-fake art is so hard to get, it would be a shame for it to go to waste!

I think one of ya all messing with me now lol

Kid scammed me for a “real” painting. Little did they know it was one I wanted to put outside my museum.

So I made a Celeste themed outfit and put it in my Able Sisters. I used both the coat template and the short sleeved dress template. I liked the coast because it was long sleeved, but the dress was “smoother”, inasmuch as the coat has a barely visible line in the front. Anyway, it didn’t occur to me that any of my male villagers would wear the pattern, but the first villager to wear it was Sterling, lol.

Then later… Erik turned up wearing it too.

It was not meant for them! And not one of my female residents has picked it up yet, lol. I guess I should have put the dress version in the shop instead of the coat version.

Maybe they’re just really big Celeste fans! Cosplayers!

Apparently!

Anyone still need bells?

I suspect everyone here is pretty much done with turnips (as am I), but even if you needed the bells, I can’t imagine trying to get onto this island what with the horribly implemented multiplayer. It’s a fun idea, but I can only imagine it’s an exercise in frustration.
