Technically you can right now show off your creepy bathroom just by registering a dream address with Luna. But I do like idea of a specially crafted “travel brochure” with the island tours.
Well after a hellish 45 minutes of clicking, we managed to secure a pack of the insanely coveted Animal Crossing/Sanrio Amiibo collaboration pack at a not-very-close-by Target. Goddamn scalper-bots wiped local stocks nationwide almost instantly.
Congrats! My wife picked up a pack of those Sanrio Amiibo cards a week or so ago. Although they work just fine, she said they aren’t legit, but that’s the way she rolls. I’m the opposite; I won’t even time travel on the Switch to make things easier, something she does dozens of times every day on her own island/Switch. But, I guess everyone needs to play in the way they enjoy, as long as it doesn’t affect anyone else.
I’m a little tired of the bots buying up every little thing out there, though. I hope something can level that playing field soon.
On a different note: I’m finally getting around to working on one of the flowers I haven’t made yet, the blue rose. This is going to be a long process at the rate my hybrids are popping, but I have immense patience when it comes to this sort of stuff. It’s why I’m still playing after a year.
Amazon has bunch of these. Are they the fake ones like @Equisilus mentioned above? I was gonna send a pack to my daughter but if there is a reason to not get the ones of Amazon, I’m not sure.

This is me too. I don’t time travel ever, but I could not possibly care less if anyone else does. Their game, their choice. Everyone plays the game differently. It’s clear from looking at Reddit alone that some people play purely to make gorgeous scenes using forced perspective just to make beautiful screenshots, which honestly I think is awesome.
That said, if I had only a single complaint about time traveling, it has to do with Reddit… and that is the volume of people who post screenshots of things in the game that they could only have already because they time traveled. And I don’t mean the southern/northern hemisphere stuff… I’m not going to be annoyed at the Aussies who posted autumnal things before we had them in the Northern hemisphere, but things like brand new content that only just came out in a patch but hasn’t officially gone live.
I like the surprise of seeing these things for the first time myself in game, not seeing someone who has already collected all of the items from event X and made some elaborate display before they’re even in my game. I wish these people would kindly mark their posts as “spoilers”, but it seems that’s never going to happen, so I am just very careful now at what I click on when browsing /r/AnimalCrossing.
I’m kinda glad I’m not terribly fussed about the Sanrio stuff. I hadn’t planned to buy any anyway, but I feel your pain regarding scalper-bots, who are aggravating when you try to buy anything at all that’s in demand.

Haha, fair enough. A friend of mine who also doesn’t time travel recently started form scratch. Originally he shared an island with his whole family - his wife was island rep. and he and his two daughters also had accounts with homes on the island. Eventually everyone got their own Switches and started over themselves. He was hoping to keep the original island (his wife started over on her own island too) only to find out there was no way to transfer the island rep status to him, so he had to start from scratch.
Anyway, he was bummed out about no longer having the emotes from Festivale, and I told him I’d allow time traveling to get them again, since it’s not his fault Nintendo wouldn’t let him take over ownership of the island. ;)

I’d go extra pocket space to let you gather, craft, and organize more before being to offload, then get the better tools. Remaking an axe every 30 chops is annoying! The tool ring is a very nice quality of life improvement but can absolutely wait.

I was going to say that once you’ve gotten into a groove it’s not hard to make 30k-50k bells a day just by digging up fossils and planting a bell tree each morning.
It’s worth noting these items cost Miles, not Bells, and are marginally more annoying to acquire in bulk early on (I mean, still lots of ways to do so if you don’t mind grinding fish or seashells or whatever).

So, Switch friends are handled by Friend Codes, which are located in the social settings area of the system itself. You can’t do much socially with them at that level, though, apart from stalk what your friends are playing.
Within Animal Crossing, you can invite anyone you’re already Friend Code friends with to your island, assuming they, too, have ACNH (I think this part is correct).
Otherwise, if you setup a DODO code for your island (when you get the airport, you’ll see these options), you can set it to let anyone–not just existing friends–who knows the code use it, and then share that code here or via Discord or whatever works best, and people can use it to visit your island.
Once you’re inside-Animal-Crossing-friends (generally: once you’ve visited their island or vice versa), you can send them letters in-game with the post office at the airport :)

Wayyyyy at the start of the thread there are oodles of friend codes. I, sadly, let my online sub lapse and haven’t started up ACNH for a long time :(
